Episode 93 – Entrepreneur Parent – Pooja Sardana – Skoodo

A year ago Nadir Pop and Peter Pop started the regular (almost) series of Entrepreneur Parents. Their first guests were Meghana Narayan and Shauravi Malik, founders of Slurrp Farm. Over the past year, there have been a variety of entrepreneurs featured on the podcast, ranging from nutrition to security and even a podcaster.

On this episode, the Pop duo speak to Pooja Sardana. A graduate of IIM – Ahmedabad, Pooja worked at GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) and  Hindustan Lever Ltd. before turning entrepreneur.

Pooja Sardana is the co-founder of Skoodo, a footwear brand she started with her friends, Parul and Kannan Sari.  The idea behind Skoodo is to come up with wearables that allow kids to walk, run, skip, jump, grip, climb, kick – all in one session!

Highlights from the chat are:

  • The impact of the book “Born to Run” on Skoodo
  • The journey before launching Skoodo
  • The differences between shoes for kids and adults
  • Children in India are wearing shoes of the wrong size
  • Being “TheBackpackingMama” and her experience travelling to over 30 countries with her kids.
