For the first episode of Parenting in Bollywood Films this year, Nadir Pop and Peter Pop watched the 2016 release Kapoor & Sons.
In the episode, the Pop duo discuss the characters of Harsh (Rajat Kapoor) & Sunita (Ratna Pathak Shah) and their relationship with their sons, Rahul (Fawad Khan) and Arjun (Sidharth Malhotra).
The film’s title comes from the wish of the late Rishi Kapoor who plays the role of the grandfather to have a family photo with “Kapoor and Sons since 1921” before he dies.
Some of the points discussed in the episode are :-
- The parents – Harsh (Rajat Kapoor) & Sunita (Ratna Pathak Shah) and their relationship.
- The relationship between the parents and their children, Rahul (Fawad Khan) and Arjun (Sidharth Malhotra) and how they deal with their problems.
